An Initiative by Student Organizations from the University of Pennsylvania.
Organized by the Ascendance Social Enterprise X Penn (ASELxPenn) Club and fellow University of Pennsylvania clubs, the Global Gamechangers Summit is a student initiative by the University of Pennsylvania that aims to bring together Penn student leaders towards a shared vision of learning about the latest news and developments in some of the biggest industries.
The conference is also co-organized with Wharton MUSE, Wharton Undergraduate Business Sports Club, Wharton Retail Club, Wharton Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Club (WUEC), Penn Rotaract, Wharton Undergraduate Media and Entertainment (UME) Club, and Wharton Interactive.
ASELxPenn is a student organization that is focused on developing self-sustaining social enterprises. We help Penn students by empowering them to start and run social enterprises in the fields that they are passionate about through tested growth and sustainable strategies.
Our Mission Behind the Summit: To Raise Funds to Equip School Libraries with Resources to Learn About Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy.
Even though the summit itself is free for all attendees, the summit served as a fundraiser in partnership with the non-profit, Dynamic & Creative Minds Association, also known as Persatuan Minda Dynamik & Kreatif (PMDK) to help provide books on entrepreneurship and finance to schools from developing countries. Each school library will receive a set of 10 books: 5 copies of the book, The Makings of A Teenage Entrepreneur, and 5 copies of the book, Money Matter$
To date, we have delivered the books to 19 school libraries from developing countries. The funds received were also used to sponsor 7 students for “Breaking Down The Basics of Business & Leadership Program.
